Our Cellar Door Series featuring Yeringberg

The de Pury family have been the custodians of the Yeringberg farm for over 160 years, this intimate connection with site has solidified Yeringberg as one of the benchmark producers in the Yarra Valley, and we are excited to have the opportunity to host daily tastings from our restaurant on Flinders Lane.

First planted in 1863 by baron Frederic-Guillaume de Pury established as a quality producer during the boom of Yarra Valley wine region, being recognised internationally for Marsanne in 1914 for their “White Hermitage”. In the following years, global turmoil and economic downturn lead wineries to shift focus and remove vines from their land, with Yeringberg being the last producing winery in the Yarra valley up until 1921.

At Cumulus Inc., we’re proud to share this storied history through a series of considered tasting flights. Any day of the week, our sommeliers will guide you through the vineyard’s rich history alongside flights spanning Yeringberg’s Chardonnay, Marsanne & Roussanne, Viognier and Cabernets as well as a comparative tasting of whites across the same vintage.

We’re also fortunate to have access to a small, exclusive selection of back-vintage wines, available for purchase by the bottle.

Tastings were available between 12pm and 5.30pm. Reservations essential.
